Dear web series and short videos,

Thank you for being alive, for making life lessons easier to understand, and for helping us to finally relate Indian content with Indian practical lives. Certainly, Movies or Films by Bollywood are now no less than lame Circuses. With those old evergreen superstars finally moving to the retirement age, these new nepo actors have just been useless, except a few. Also, pandemic shutting down all the theatres has made it difficult for you all to sustain. Besides, a few movies that still made it out, like the Shakuntala Devi, Angrezi Medium, Uri, Shubh Mangal Zyada Savdhan, Love Aaj Kal, etc couldn't do much to keep up the fame of Bollywood. Nevertheless, Bollywood would always remain dear.

Anyway, we are the 21st cent audience hardcore fandom for an actor/actress is one side, but supporting the real meaningful content that actually has a logical story and makes a difference in someone's life is the other side. Before the pandemic Indian web series just started their upwards journey, and the pandemic was a boost for you all! With everything happening from bed, watching a 40mins episode was way easier than watching a 3 hours movie. Before the pandemic web series like Pitchers, Little Things, Mirzapur, Sacred Games, Kota Factory, etc had already built the base for making the Indian web series empire stand! And so here we are having so many wonderful web series spread over so many fields that it's konsi chode konsi dekhe. It's of course amazing to see Indian web series stand at par with Foreign web series.

Let that be from the field of adulthood reality like Panchayat to Aspirants. Collage me maje krna is fun but not able to fund your own expenses by 2nd yr or 3rd is not fun. They acted like a mirror for these people in college ki aish is not life, padh likh ke khud earn karna is life.

Then this Mental Health and Relationship webseries like Little Things to Broken But Beautiful, taught us what love is really like for Indian conditions, what long distance and moving on is in the practical sense! ( It was BBB that helped me move on)

Then those desi Web series like Sacred Games or Jamtara. They showed us the real underworld, let that be from 20 years ago or how scams are done now. They showed us how India was when people died of hunger and how religion was used to kill people from people. Slangs and sex scenes are just overhyped, without them, portraying the real story for any web series is just impossible.

Then there are these patriotic ones too, The Forgotten Army and The Special Ops or Tashkent Files, etc. In this field, there are many web series still not so popular and are underrated but trust me, no movie still has portrayed patriotism so beautifully and practically as these showed. Tashkent Files is toh hidden gem.

Family-centric web series like Yeh meri Family, The Tripling to Gullack. Well, now the web series boom has started, and there should be a few we can watch with family and relate the family issues with + easy solution!

Business or Finance related series like Pitchers to Harshad Mehta, Pitchers ne toh sabko dimag me ye kida dal diya ki, the requirement is the hunger of innovation, and innovation is the hunger of being successful. Many foreign articles have now added these Indian web series to their list for suggesting "Top Entrepreneurship or Business related web series," and Harshad Mehta se toh sabko khujli si chadh gai " Stock Market me Ruppe dalna ha " though people got a bit misguided from it, but it ignited the need for financial literacy in India.

Then these teen life web series like The Collage Romance, The Reunion to Hostel Daze are just cherry on top. They don't require any explanations for how entertaining they were. ( P.s, I have a crush on Akansha )

And lastly, those webseries that do not belong to any specific field are just amazing! Asur, Four more shots, A suitable Boy, Mismatched, Bandish Bandits, FLAMES, Inside Edge, Please find Attached, Mbbs, House Arrest, Made in Heaven, etc. Naming all of them will be like making a book.

Last but not least, these short videos on youtube from Dice Media, Timeliners, Filtercopy, etc can't be forgotten for their place. For making us think out of the box or just helping us to relieve stress. Many webseries heroes started their web series journey from here only. Anyday, types of chai lovers or types of best friends would be my instant go-to for lunch krte time kya dekhu. ( Barkha Singh and Ayush Mehra are my forever favorite duo. )

Okay, this was a big one, but this topic still feels small. As there have been so many amazing series from new actors and also old bolly actors, that a lifetime would seem less to watch all these amazing series. But open letters, synopsis, fan posts make it easy though. ( I hate you all guys who write these, you'll just spoil the vibe of watching it new 1st hand, then watching it after reading them )
